WSU Vancouver offers forum about Ukraine

Washington State University Vancouver and FVRLibraries will present a free online panel discussion, “The War in Ukraine,” at 6 p.m. Monday.

Scholars from the School of Politics, Philosophy and Public Affairs and the Department of History will present research and analysis of the conflict in Ukraine. This program is in partnership between FVRLibraries and Washington State University Vancouver’s public affairs program.

Speakers and topics will be Anthony C. Lopez, “Grievance, Opportunism and Miscalculation in Ukraine”; Karl Krotke-Crandall, “The Language of War: Demystifying Putin’s ‘De-Nazification’ of Ukraine through the Soviet-Historical Lens”; Carolyn Long, “Putin’s War: A View from the Balkans”; and Paul Thiers, “Geopolitical, Economic and Energy Security Impacts of the Conflict.”
