Columbia Trust Company announced that Sharry Nadjm has joined as a vice president and trust real estate specialist, effective immediately. In this role, he oversees client portfolios in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California, and is responsible for ensuring client goals and objectives are met with effective asset management and strategic business planning. Nadjm has more than 25 years of real estate investment and asset management experience.

Nadjm’s areas of expertise include policy guideline development and strategic planning; risk mitigation and environmental compliance; sales and acquisition process management; transactional planning, and maintenance of legacy assets.

Prior to Columbia Trust, Nadjm held leadership and adviser positions at Wilkinson Corp., Brookstone Commercial Consulting, Marcus & Millichap, and John L. Scott Real Estate.

Nadjm earned a master’s degree in economics from Lund University in Sweden. Among other designations, he completed the Real Estate Management Program at Harvard Business School in Massachusetts, and he earned a Certificate in Asset Management & Hospitality Real Estate Investments from Cornell University in New York.

Southwest Washington Contractors Association introduced its 2021 Construction Champions on March 24, at its fourth annual Construction Executive Summit.

The Construction Champions Awards recognize SWCA member organizations for their business success, participation in the association and contributions to the community.

The 2021 winners are: Tapani Inc. for General Contractor of the Year, Stewart Mechanical Inc. for Subcontractor of the Year, CalPortland for Supplier of the Year, and Lease Crutcher Lewis for Rookie Member of the Year.

The Ridgefield School District announced the hiring of Lindsay McQuiston as its newest administrator. McQuiston will serve as an assistant principal at Ridgefield High School replacing Allen Andringa, who is retiring at the conclusion of the 2021-2022 school year.

McQuiston is currently the assistant principal at Prairie High School in Battle Ground Public Schools. She is the school’s assessment coordinator and Advanced Placement testing coordinator, and she oversees scheduling, forecasting and the master schedule and serves as the treasurer for the district’s Administrative Association. McQuiston has worked at Prairie High School since 2012, where she started as a high school math teacher.

Prior to beginning her employment at Prairie High School, McQuiston taught middle school math in Puerto Rico and Spain from 2007 to 2011, and in Forest Grove, Ore., for the 2011-2012 school year.

McQuiston has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in mathematics from the University of Puget Sound and a master of arts in teaching secondary mathematics degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. Additionally, she earned her Administrative Services Certification from Concordia University in Portland.
