Letter: Support Perez for Congress

By Terry Cappiello, Vancouver
Published: August 23, 2022, 6:00am

There are dozens of reasons not to vote for Joe Kent. Many have already been brilliantly articulated in this newspaper. My goal today is to tell you why I am voting for Marie Gluesenkamp Perez.

Ms. Gluesenkamp Perez is intimately aware of the issues facing young families today because she is a young wife and mother herself. She is intimately aware of the issues facing small-business owners because that is her experience, too. As a woman, she, too, knows the dangers to reproduction freedom rights. Marie will represent the people of Southwest Washington and fight to safeguard our rights.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
