Letter: Kent is an extremist

It is very sad to see the military service honor of Joe Kent being flushed down the vortex of Donald Trump’s lies, deceit and criminality.

On Trump henchman Steve Bannon’s podcast after defeating Jaime Herrera Beutler, Kent agreed the legal FBI search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home was “jack-booted gestapo tactics.” Kent added, “We are at war.”

Kent, along with allies like Trump, Steve Bannon, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz are lurching into perilous extremism whose goal is to burn down the rule of law.

The 3rd Congressional District has historically been moderate. Joe Kent is not a moderate.
