The Council for the Homeless is hosting a Zoom webinar from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday to inform Vancouver residents about the city’s Affordable Housing Fund levy, which will be up for a vote in the Feb. 14 special election.

If approved, Proposition 3 would impose a tax levy of about 30 cents per $1,000 in assessed value for 10 years, collecting about $100 million for the fund. The current levy is set to expire at the end of 2023.

Thursday’s webinar will explain the impact the fund has had in its first six years and what its renewal would mean for Vancouver’s affordable housing stock. Clark County Treasurer Alishia Topper, political consultant and attorney Katie Archer Jolma, and Mayor Pro Tem Ty Stober will speak as panelists.

Registration is required to join the webinar. Register online at https://tinyurl.com/3rdfcn8y.
