Makahri Bolds hit a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Mountain View boys basketball team to a 66-63 win over Todd Beamer in a loser-out game at the 3A bi-district tournament in Federal Way.

“The lone senior did just what he said in the huddle. ‘I got this Coach’,” Mountain View coach JC Alexander tweeted.

With about a second left, Bolds popped out to the 3-point arc, caught the inbounds and shot.

Bolds finished with 19 points and hit five 3-pointers, including three in the fourth quarter.

The Thunder now get two shots to advance to the regional round of the 3A state tournament. The first chance will be at Spanaway Lake on Friday. If the Thunder lose that game, they would get a second chance to advance on Saturday.

Aiden Nicholson and Isaiah Vargas added 11 each points for the Thunder, and Ledarius Washington contributed nine points.
