Friends of Trees seeks volunteers to help with a community tree planting at 9 a.m. on Jan. 15. Meet at the Evergreen Bible Church, 9600 E. Mill Plain Blvd. Gloves, tools, and guidance are provided. Volunteers must dress for the weather, wear study shoes, and arrive by 8:45 a.m. For more information and to sign up, please visit https://friendsoftrees.org/event-calendar. Youths 15 and under must volunteer with a parent/guardian, and youths between 16 and 18 may volunteer alone with a signed waiver. Friends of Trees also needs volunteer truck drivers with their own pickup truck or open trailer to help transport 6-10 foot trees to their planting sites for this planting event.
