Letter: Democrats need to step up

I’m curious: Where are the Democrats running for the 3rd Congressional District? We have three prominent Republicans, but I have yet to hear from the Democratic Party.

What is wrong with this, you may ask? Well it seems the two-party system is at not at work again. As happened with Carolyn Long, the party is asleep. It may be only one representative but that as we see now means everything. I’m so disappointed. I’m sorry that we cannot even pull together enough to see the future. I am appalled.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
