Music al fresco

Camas Parks and Recreation will host Summer Concerts in the Park at Crown Park, 120 N.E. 17th Ave., Camas. This free series offers family-friendly concerts every Thursday in July from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tonight’s performer is C.J. Mickens. Other performers are 4 Kings (July 14), Kevin Selfe (July 21) and Shades of Huey (July 28). Attendees should bring blankets, chairs and food. No alcohol, dogs or other animals are allowed. Get details at cityofcamas.us/parksrec.

Movies for a cause

Friday Night Flicks is a fundraiser benefitting five nonprofits: the Police Activities League of Southwest Washington, Clark County Historical Museum, Ridgefield Main Street, Rocksolid Community Teen Center and the Hough Foundation. Outdoor movies will be shown Friday as well as June 15, 22, 29 and Aug. 5 at the Port of Ridgefield. Movies start at sundown. Friday’s movie is “Soul” (PG), supporting the Police Activities League. Tickets range from $25 to $40. Get the complete schedule and tickets at cchmuseum.org/programs-events/friday-night-flicks/.

Park perks

The city of Vancouver presents Friday Night Movies in the Park at different parks around the city every Friday through Aug. 12. Movies are free. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic dinners; some snack vendors may be on-site. Movies begin between 9 and 9:30 p.m. Pre-show entertainment starts at 7 p.m. All movies are family friendly and closed captioned. Restrooms are available. Smoking, alcohol and grills are not allowed. Friday’s movie is “Encanto” (PG) at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site parade grounds. See the schedule at cityofvancouver.us.

Hot rods and cool rides

The Elks Lodge No. 823 and the Fort Vancouver Rose City Car Club will host a Collector Car Appreciation Day and fundraiser at the lodge, 11605 S.E. McGillivray Blvd., Vancouver, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Attendees can admire the cars of the past, talk to the owners and enjoy lunch. Three trophies — men’s choice, women’s choice and people’s choice — will be awarded at 2 p.m. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the entry fee is $10 per car. Register by calling Frank Martin at 360-573-9179 or email fam36@comcast.net.

Saturday silver screens

The city of Washougal will host free Summer Movie Nights on three Saturdays in July and August. Pre-show activities begin at 8 p.m. and movies start at dusk.
