Raptors Road Trip: Ridgefield 11, Yakima Valley 3

The Raptors started the second half of the West Coast League season on a good note, scattering eight hits and kept the Pippins off the scoreboard until the eighth inning in an 11-3 win at Yakima on Friday.

KEY MOMENTS: In a wild sixth inning, the Raptors scored four runs on three hits and a Pippins’ error. There were two hit batters including Riley McCarthy who also endured three wild pitches during his at-bat.

KEY PLAYERS: Raptors starter Josh Sandoval pitched four innings of scoreless ball, and Tyler Tilton followed with two innings of shut out ball to get the win. He allowed one hit with four strikeouts and two walks. … Mikey Kane and McCarthy each had two RBI.
