Letter: Keep Barnes on utilities board

Our president has now returned from the Middle East with little to show for efforts to increase oil production. There should have been no need in the first place, of course, because the United States was producing enough oil. We were self-sufficient … an enviable position. Our country can’t afford to radically change from one source of energy to another just as some advocacy groups insist.

Now we have a local election which is important to all of us regarding energy and that is for Clark Public Utilities commissioner. Should a commissioner advocate for an all-green energy plan or should we select a commissioner who wants the best plan for our community? She has done this for 30 years, so thank you Nancy Barnes. Please give her your vote!
