The local financial institution, iQ Credit Union, launched a new app this week for kids.

The banking app is targeted at kids 7-14 years old and aims to teach them about good financial habits and how to manage money.

The app is free to members of the credit union and integrates into its online banking system. It’s available to kids with a savings account at the credit union.

Using the app, kids would be able to make easy transfers with parents, set up saving goals, make a budget and take out loans from parents, according to a statement from iQ Credit Union.
