Fred Meyer announces new president for Oct. 1

Fred Meyer will have a new president, Todd Kammeyer, as of Oct. 1.

The announcement was made Tuesday by The Kroger Co.

Kammeyer currently serves as vice president of merchandising for Kroger’s Fred Meyer division and will succeed Dennis Gibson in the role as president.

Gibson will retire after 38 years with the company. He joined the company in 1984 and held numerous positions including as store and district managers, vice president of operations, president of QFC division, president of King Scoopers/City Market and eventually president of Fred Meyer in 2019.

Kammeyer has served as vice president of merchandising at Fred Meyer since 2020, including being responsible for Fred Meyer Jewelers. Before that, he was the vice president of operations for The Kroger Co.’s Fred Meyer division.
