Washington State Parks Disabled Veteran Lifetime Pass holders are now exempt from paying parking fees at four county-regional parks with the passing of a Clark County code amendment.

The exemption, which goes into effect today, is applied when eligible pass holders present the pass to park staff at Frenchman’s Bar, Lewisville, Salmon Creek/Klineline Pond and Vancouver Lake regional parks. It must also be displayed in parked vehicles.

Otherwise, visitors must pay $2-8 per day, depending on vehicle types.

Residents who are military veterans with 30 percent or more service-related disabilities may apply for the pass through the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. More information about Clark County parking fees can be at www.clark.wa.gov/public-works/parking-fees.
