The Police Activities League of Southwest Washington is hosting a “bike rodeo” June 18 with obstacle courses and informational booths.

The event is scheduled for 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen High School, 14300 N.E. 18th St., Vancouver.

The rodeo is open to kids between kindergarten and sixth grade, and participants are encouraged to bring their bikes and helmets to ride from booth to booth to learn about bike safety. Kids can also compete in an obstacle course.

PAL and its partners will give away more than 30 bikes and helmets to its elementary school partners.
