COVID-19 cases in Clark County schools see plateau

Clark County schools have reported 385 new cases of COVID-19 since last week, a marginal shift from 372 cases reported in the week prior. Case totals have slowed to somewhat of a plateau after a small surge in mid-May.

Health officials have warned that the increased use of at-home tests and difficulties providing in-office tests mean the true number of COVID-19 infections is likely to exceed the official statistics — especially in recent weeks as testing has become less frequent.

The following data is updated weekly on the Clark County Public Health website:

Evergreen Public Schools: 60 new cases between June 6 and June 12

Vancouver Public Schools: 156 new cases between June 8 and June 14

Battle Ground Public Schools: 67 new cases between June 6 and June 10

Camas School District: 40 new cases between June 5 and June 11

Ridgefield School District: 38 new cases between June 7 and June 13

Hockinson School District: 17 new cases between June 8 and June 14

Washougal School District: Seven new cases between June 9 and June 14

No data was available on Wednesday from the La Center School District.
