The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced Monday it awarded $2.1 million in grants to 14 Clark County programs working to address homelessness in 2021.

The grants are a part of HUD’s Continuum of Care Program, which is designed to promote a commitment to the goal of ending homelessness. In 2021, the program awarded $2.6 billion to roughly 7,000 homeless housing and service programs across the nation, including $89,289,689 to 199 projects in Washington.

The program is the largest source of federal grant funding for homeless services and housing programs serving people experiencing homelessness, according to a press release.

A list of Clark County programs that received grants can be found at www.hud.gov/sites/dfiles/CPD/documents/FY2021_WA_Press_Report.pdf.
