Small is beautiful

Little Art Camas is a two-day show and sale of original small-scale artworks by local artists in the Fuel Medical lobby, 314 N.E. Birch St., Camas. All art is $20 and proceeds support public art. Tickets are $5 at the door and are good for both Friday and Saturday. Children under 12 are free. Hours are 5-9 p.m. Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday. From the ground up

NatureScaping of Southwest Washington will host the Zoom webinar “Soil Basics,” from 4-6 p.m. Friday, in partnership with the Camas Public Library. Great gardening starts with good soil. Cowlitz County master gardener Arthur Fuller will share how to get the right pH and nutrient levels for a successful garden. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Be fruitful

Thiselle Creek Farm, 26903 N.E. C C Landon Road, Yacolt, is hosting a bare-root tree sale featuring fruit and shade trees for $20 each. Varieties include apples, cherries, peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, maples, flowering fruits, Asian pears, crab apples, willows and aspens. Sale hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Green means go

The Couve Clover Run will start at Vancouver Waterfront Park at 9 a.m. Sunday. Participants can choose to run or walk a 3-, 7- or 10-mile course. The scenic course includes The Waterfront Vancouver, the Renaissance Trail along the Columbia River, Officers Row and Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. Registration fees vary from $20 for kids to $90 for adults who register on race day. For details, visit whyracingevents.com.

Tiny treasures

Portland Japanese Garden will present an exhibit of antique netsuke, intricately carved miniature sculptures that were used as fashion accessories in pre-modern Japan. “Fashion and Fantasy: The Art of Netsuke Carvings” runs through April 17, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Mondays. The display is in the Pavilion Gallery and is included with garden admission, $18.95. Tickets can be purchased at japanesegarden.org.
