Letter: Follow the will of the people

I read the front-page article about how the justices were under pressure from the public to change their vote on Roe v. Wade. The article also mentioned how Justice Alito was encouraging his fellow justices to stand firm and not be swayed by the public. How dreadful it might be if the laws of the land were approved by a majority of its citizens; why, that might just doom oligarchy, and this bunch don’t seem to want that to happen.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
