Letter: Support Perez for Congress

By Brad Jensen, CAMAS
Published: November 6, 2022, 6:00am

I sit down sadly to fill out my ballot knowing Joe Kent has introduced doubts about our institution of voting. It is hard because this is not because of solid evidence but because of Donald Trump’s ambition. Kent supporters tell me I was never a conservative or a Republican. Why can Trump throw out 160 years of Republican tradition to create a mean, self-focused party that hates other people? Were they among those who worked to elect Republicans Linda Smith, Ronald Reagan or George Bush?

If elected, Kent has no interest in my concerns. That is why I am voting for Marie Perez.
