I was amused at the opinion article in Friday’s paper describing the challenges surrounding the new bridge design; can’t be too low, can’t be too high, can’t bypass this, can’t bypass that, can’t create traffic bottlenecks, can’t (or must) have tolls, can’t (or must) have light rail . . . Seems to me that a design with a lift is the only one that would check most of the boxes. Just a thought.
