How Clark County College Football Players Fared, Nov. 19

Reimer, Grossman, Matthews play in spotlight of Gameday's visit to Montana State

College football’s spotlight turned to Montana on Saturday in a game where players from Clark County made a few highlights.

ESPN’s College Gameday visited Montana State University in Bozeman ahead of the No. 3-ranked Bobcats rivalry game against No. 12 Montana.

The Gameday crew picked Montana State to win and they were correct. Starting left tackle Rush Reimer, a Camas High graduate, helped the Bobcats rack up 561 yards of offense in a 55-21 win.

Montana State punter Bryce Leighton (Camas) was also ready to play in team’s regular-season finale. One problem: the Bobcats offense was so successful that Leighton never punted.

Two Clark County players on Montana had an impact in a losing effort.

Starting tight end Cole Grossman (Skyview) had two catches for 46 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown. The redshirt sophomore is tied for third on the team with 22 catches. His four touchdown catches rank second on the team.

Senior linebacker Michael Matthews (Camas) had four tackles for the second consecutive game for the Grizzlies.

Both teams are awaiting to see who they will face in the first round of the FCS playoffs.

Here’s how other collegiate football players from Clark County fared. Note: A blank entry means the player’s team had a bye week.
