Rep. Larry Hoff appointed to River Bank board of directors

Riverview Bancorp Inc. recently announced the appointment of Larry Hoff, representative for Southwest Washington’s 18th Legislative District, to the board of directors of River Bank.

Hoff has served on the boards of the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Clark County Fire Department of Community Services and the Longview Noon Rotary. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota in accounting.

“I am honored to serve on the board of a local community bank that has served the area for almost 100 years,” said Hoff. “I am grateful to be a part of an amazing organization that supports its local communities and where decision making is done locally.”

Hoff is not running for reelection to his House seat.

Washington physicians recognized by State Medical Association

Washington physicians and health care organizations were recently recognized by the Washington State Medical Association for leadership, service and contributions to medicine and patient safety.

The recognitions were part of the Washington State Medical Association Apple Awards program presented during the 2022 annual meeting of its house of delegates Oct. 1 in Spokane at the Historic Davenport.

Two Washington State Medical Association members, including Vancouver’s Patricia Wooden, received the President’s Unsung Hero Award.

This award recognizes the association member who offers extraordinary service to the profession to make Washington the best state in which to practice medicine and receive care. Wooden is a Vancouver family medicine physician who was honored for her efforts at PeaceHealth to support physician wellness.
