Letter: Support Zingale in 18th District

By Geoffrey Munson, Vancouver

We need leaders in Olympia who respect their constituents by addressing complex issues honestly, with compassion for everyone they represent. John Zingale, an award-winning history teacher, will do just that. His opponent seems to have a low opinion of voters, assuming new ideas such as ranked choice voting would be “much too confusing” for voters and dodging her previously stated anti-choice stance on abortion to try to appear more moderate than she is. The 18th Legislative District deserves the high standards, competence, and intellectual honesty that John Zingale will deliver.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
