Four electric vehicle charging stations are now open at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, located in the North parking lot off of N.E. 87th Ave., near the Northeast Fifth Street entrance.

Charging can be paid for through the SemaConnect and Plugshare mobile apps or with a credit card. Revenue from the station goes to the hospital’s sustainability budget for future green projects.

PeaceHealth’s announcement comes less than two weeks after Gov. Jay Inslee said that Washington will prohibit the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035.

Funding for the project comes from a partnership with the PeaceHealth Southwest Foundation and Clark County Public Utilities.

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is a certified green business and Clark County’s 2022 Green Business of the Year for large businesses.
