Legacy Health is holding a free monkeypox vaccination clinic Saturday at the health care company’s offices, 1120 N.W. 20th Ave., No. 111 in Portland. The clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The vaccine is only available to those at high risk for the disease. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Oregon Health Authority define a high risk patient as:

  • gay, bisexual, and other men or trans people who have sex with men, who have had more than one sexual partner in the past 14 days.
  • sex workers of any sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • people who have had close contact within the past 14 days with someone with suspected or confirmed monkeypox.
  • people who had close contact with others at a venue or event or within a social group in the past 14 days where a suspected or confirmed monkeypox case was identified. This includes people who received notice from a venue or event of potential exposure within the past 14 days.

Those high-risk patients age 18 or older can schedule their vaccinations at https://legacyhealth.org/mpv/.

Anyone who can’t schedule online can book an appointment by calling 503-415-4800 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
