The American Red Cross is seeking blood and platelet donations this fall. The Charles Drew Blood Drive takes place today, Sept. 24, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 3131 N. Vancouver Ave. in Portland. A number of other drives are scheduled through Oct. 15.
The American Red Cross is providing incentives for donors. Those who give through Sept. 30 will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a VIP NASCAR racing experience and will automatically receive a coupon for a free haircut from Sport Clips.
