Prep highlights: Skyview girls soccer shuts out Union 2-0

Dea Covarrubias scored both goals with assists from Delaney DeGrande as the Skyview girls soccer team beat Union 2-0 in the 4A Greater St. Helens League match on Thursday.

Skyview goalkeeper Brynnlee Williams made seven saves for the clean sheet as the Storm improved to 2-1 in league, 5-2-2 overall.

Union is 1-2 in league, and also 5-2-2.

Stars of the day

  • Grady Millar, Mountain View boys golf, shot even-par 34 for medalist honors at Fairway Village in the Thunder’s win over Heritage.
  • Eli Huntington and Evan Chen, Camas boys golf, each shot 3-under 34 in a match against Prairie at Tri-Mountain.
  • Ella Schoene, La Center volleyball, had 14 kills and 16 digs as the Wildcats swept Columbia-White Salmon.
  • Clair Moss, Battle Ground girls soccer, had 18 saves in a 3-0 loss to league-leading Camas, earning a shutout in the first half.
  • Kendall Lawson, Hockinson girls soccer, scored both of the Hawks’ goals in a 3-2 loss to R.A. Long.
  • Anna Mooney, Seton Catholic girls soccer, scored a hat trick in a 10-0 win over Stevenson.
  • Ellie Mathison, King’s Way Christian volleyball, had 15 kills, 26 digs and two aces in a five-set loss to Castle Rock.
