The staff and volunteers of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Project want to extend a big thank you to Vancouver and the East Vancouver Post Office and their employees for their efforts to deliver books each month to the children enrolled in the program. We currently have over 5,000 children enrolled throughout Southwest Washington, and it continues to grow.

The program provides children from birth to 5 years of age a free book each month. The postal carriers are Dolly’s Book Angels; without their efforts, this program would not be possible. They are playing an important role in making dreams come true for the children of our community.

Visit www.selfwa.org to learn more about the program.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
