People in Business

The business leaders group Identity Clark County has elected David Fuhrer, chief financial officer of Realvest Corp., to its board of directors.

Fuhrer has been with the Vancouver-based property-development firm since 1986 and currently manages relationships with banks, lenders, auditors and tax preparers. He holds CPA and CGMA designations and earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Portland State University.

Fuhrer has served on the boards for the YMCA of Clark County and the Cascadia Tech Academy Foundation. He and his wife, Janet, live in Vancouver.

“Clark County residents and businesses have been such amazing supporters of the many causes of its community,” Fuhrer said. “I have always admired the participation levels I have witnessed.”

Jaynee Haygood has been named as the next camp director for Kiwanis Camp Wa-Ri-Ki.

Haygood’s background as a certified teacher, paraprofessional and outdoor enthusiast, combined with a deep passion for promoting outdoor environmental education, will help advance the mission of the organization.

Haygood assumed the role on April 1. She will manage all day-to-day operations and lead staff to continue building cutting-edge programs through the NASA GLOBE Goes to Camp partnership. Bringing schools, primarily fifth- and sixth-graders, to the Skamania County camp for outdoor environmental experiences will be a high priority.

Haygood will succeed interim camp director Barbara McCullough-Jones, who continues as development director with Kiwanis Camp Wa-Ri-Ki.
