Letter: Thanks for officer’s work

By Claire Johnston, Vancouver

Thank you for the profile of Officer Tyler Chavers (“Vancouver police Officer Tyler Chavers builds trust, relationships as member of city’s homeless response team,” The Columbian, Aug. 2). I became acquainted with Officer Chavers at our neighborhood meetings, but I had no idea of the extent of the work he was doing for the homeless. Kudos to him for this, and kudos to the Community Funded Journalism Project for bringing this information to the public at large.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
