Letter: Electric vehicles pay off

Our Climate Commitment Act requires Washington oil refiners to reduce pollution. They don’t like it. They will do whatever it takes to weaken that law. They will raise prices to make us angry with our lawmakers. They will spend millions on propaganda campaigns.

You can help neutralize that effort by purchasing an electric vehicle. The sooner you purchase an EV, the sooner you’ll save money on fuel. Charging an EV with the grid is like gasoline for $1 per gallon.

Think $1 per gallon, not $5.

With rooftop-solar you could even drive for free.
