Letter: U.S. can’t fix climate alone

By Jim Davison, Waitsburg
Published: August 23, 2023, 6:00am

While reading your editorial, “Is it time to aggressively address climate change?” (The Columbian, Aug. 16) I couldn’t help but wonder how much effect would there be on the world’s climate if, miraculously, the United States were able to eliminate all factors contributing to climate change? What percentage of improvement would that be?

Or would all nations in the world need to do so to result in a successful change?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
