Sewage spill closes Lake Washington Boulevard beach access in Seattle

Seattle Parks and Recreation is urging people and pets to stay out of the water in some beach areas along Lake Washington Boulevard after a sewage spill Thursday.

The spill occurred at 53rd Avenue South and Lake Washington Boulevard, just south of Lakewood Marina.

Signs are up indicating which beaches have been affected, Seattle Parks posted on the social media platform X.
