Letter: Pay now, spend later

Another “commission” to address American public debt. If they send me the millions they are going to waste here, I’ll tell them how to fix the debt. Pay the bills first like almost every American does with theirs. Pay the bills before you give your corporate buddy tax cuts. Before your billionaire supporter gets his. Before the trillion-dollar military gets their budget. Before you take another step forward, you pay for what you did yesterday. The credit card is due and Americans know what happens if you don’t pay. Those banks, a lot foreign, come to collect. This time they will collect America!

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
