Plan for system aligns with Vancouver Public Schools’ equity policy

Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, the biggest magnet school in Vancouver Public Schools, is changing its application process from a merit-based approach to a lottery system.

The decision, district leaders said, is an effort to offer the school’s featured programs in performing arts to a wider range of students in line with its district equity policy.
