Letter: Business, railroad do the right thing

By Mike Leboki, Vancouver
Published: December 12, 2023, 6:00am

My name is Mike Leboki, owner of Greenworks Excavation and Taylor Transport, and I have been a fixture in this community since 1997. In those years I have employed hundreds of hardworking Clark and Skamania County employees and have contributed greatly to the growth and development of this community.

In recent months, I have found my work and ethics being questioned as a result of my business relationship with Eric Temple and the Portland Vancouver Junction Railroad.

I cannot stand strongly enough behind the work we have done, and the integrity of Eric Temple and his railroad employees. We are committed to above best practice standards, and Mr. Temple has made it clear that money is not an issue as it relates to doing the right thing to protect our community and the environment. It’s disheartening to this humble small-business owner that this false narrative is continuing to be propagated within our community with no regard for facts or due process. The truth deserves to see the light, and your readers deserve to hear the truth.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
