Prep Roundup: Skyview girls reach championship at Nike Interstate Shootout

Jaeley Dean scored 17 points as Skyview girls basketball beat Canby 62-49 on Sunday to reach the championship game at the Nike Interstate Shootout in Lake Oswego, Ore.

Lainey Phillips had a double-double (10 points, 13 rebounds) as Skyview (5-2) improved to 2-0 in the tournament.

Dean scored eight points in the third quarter, when Skyview stretched a 31-26 halftime lead to 49-37.

Tayla Borntrager scored 19 points to lead Canby (5-2), which competes in Oregon’s Class 5A.

BATTLE GROUND 49, ROOSEVELT (Ore.) 23 — Skylar Fredricksson scored 26 points as the Tigers won in the consolation bracket at the Nike Interstate Shootout.

Fredrickson scored 16 points in the first half as Battle Ground (2-6) led 23-14 at halftime.

Roosevelt (3-4) of Portland shot 5 for 18 from the free throw line.
