A Vancouver man is facing a felony indictment in Oregon, alleging he fondled two women during exams at his podiatry business.

On Dec. 6, a grand jury indicted Brian M. Bowen, 49, in Multnomah County Circuit Court on one count of second-degree sex abuse and three counts of third-degree sex abuse, a class C felony and class A misdemeanor, respectively. He was arraigned Friday, according to a Portland police news release.

Voter records show Bowen lives in Vancouver.

The Portland Police Bureau’s Sex Crimes Unit began investigating Bowen in September 2022, when a woman reported that in May 2022 she had been fondled during an exam at Eastside Foot & Ankle, 1827 N.E. 44th Ave., Suite 100. Another woman reported a similar incident in January of this year. Authorities investigated the claims for more than a year before the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office presented the case to a grand jury, the news release states.

The investigation is ongoing. Investigators ask any other patients with similar experiences to contact Portland police Detective Sean Harris via email at sean.harris@police.portlandoregon.gov or by phone at 503-823-0838. Police ask people to reference case number 22-236740.
