The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington has opened online applications for its 2024 scholarship cycle.
Each year, the foundation provides hundreds of scholarships to students applying to two- and four-year universities, trade schools and apprenticeship programs.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, the program awarded a record $1,115,783 across 381 scholarships to students pursuing postsecondary education — an increase both in total funds awarded and number of different available scholarships.
Scholarships are available for a variety of different fields and for students with specific backgrounds: from those pursuing nursing, engineering, architecture and more.
“Our goal is to expand access to educational opportunities across the board so that our region’s students can attain skills and credentials that allow them to live a full life and contribute their full selves to local communities,” said Deanna Green, the foundation’s scholarship manager.
The current scholarship application cycle closes April 30, 2024. Students interested in learning more or applying for a scholarship award can visit the foundation’s website at www.cfsww.org/scholarship.
