SEATTLE — A drive-by shooting early Monday injured five people near Occidental Park, Seattle police say.

Police responded at Occidental Avenue South and South Washington Street at 2 a.m., where they say bullets struck people standing on the street at the closing of nearby nightclubs and bars. Some gunshot victims fled north to Second Avenue and University Street, where medics found and treated them.

The Seattle Fire Department took four men, ages 34, 27, 26 and 25, and one 25-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to Harborview Medical Center. Their injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.

Police said in a Monday morning Seattle Police Department Blotter post that a black sedan and white sedan traveling west on South Washington Street were possibly involved in the shooting, though that could not immediately be confirmed.
