Letter: Support Vancouver schools levy

By Rachel Whitney, Vancouver
Published: February 5, 2023, 6:00am

As a Vancouver Public Schools alum and current parent of VPS students, I want to express my support for the upcoming levy renewal (Prop. 6) to retain school funding.

This will allow students continued participation in important extracurricular activities like band, orchestra and choir, which are often the activities that keep kids interested in school. They have a safe place to express themselves, gain confidence and be a part of a team. I can’t think of a more important place for our tax dollars than our community’s children.

Show kids Vancouver cares and vote “Yes” for VPS on Feb. 14.
