Letter: Move homeless camps

By Joe Blatner Sr., VANCOUVER

How long does it take the city to realize there are camps in downtown Vancouver?

Out in front of our building at 500 Broadway, on the south side has been a tent for a few months. It would not be so bad if they didn’t throw all the garbage in the parking garage, etc., plus near their camp. If possible can the city move them down to in front of their building? I’m sure they would like that, since they don’t seem to much care about others in the area.

We have also had break-ins and I’m sure it is not the citizens of the city doing this. Once it starts, it never ends, and if they don’t want to go to city shelters, why should they be able to pop a tent anywhere? If I leave my car over the time limit, I’m ticketed.
