SALMON CREEK — Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center’s new Cancer Healing Center was completed during the height of the pandemic, and the doors were opened to cancer patients and their families. Recently, major donors were invited to tour the new space they helped fund. The space was designed to offer support services to help cancer patients heal physically, emotionally and spiritually.

The local community came together to raise $1 million to complete the healing center. The lead gift of $350,000 came from the Tod and Maxine McClaskey Foundation and $650,000 from other local donors.

The cancer healing center offers online and in-person services, including support groups, nutrition and yoga classes, and art therapy sessions. All services are free for people with a cancer diagnosis receiving care through Legacy Health.
