Clark County COVID-19 rate falls; 10 deaths reported

This week, 224 new COVID-19 cases were reported, bringing county totals to 110,161, according to Clark County Public Health data. Ten new deaths were reported, bringing county totals to 995.

The Clark County COVID-19 activity rate, which measures new cases per 100,000 population over seven days, declined from 61.3 on Dec. 29 to 42.3 as of Thursday.

Clark County hospitals remain near capacity with 98.7 percent of hospital beds and 94.6 percent of intensive care beds occupied. Patients with or suspected of having COVID-19 occupied 14.3 percent of hospital beds and 16.1 percent of ICU beds this week.
