The Portland Timbers will report to training camp Friday at the Timbers Training Facility in Beaverton, Ore., to begin preparations for their 13th Major League Soccer season.
From Jan. 15-21, the Timbers will be at Phoenix and play a friendly against Sporting Kansas City at 11 a.m. Jan. 21. The match will not be open to the public.
Portland will close out the preseason playing in the 2023 Coachella Valley Invitational from Feb. 6-18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., alongside 11 other MLS teams.
The Timbers will kick off the tournament against LA Galaxy at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 12. Next is Toronto FC at 2 p.m. Feb. 15, and the Timbers finish with New York City FC at noon Feb. 18.
