Letter: Reynolds has right to opinion

By Colleen Keller, Columbian Assistant News Editor

Vancouver has about 190,000 residents. Yet, 1,400 presumably “woke” citizens decided to exercise their opinion by signing a petition to fire Vancouver police Officer Rey Reynolds. In America, we have the right to voice our opinion on all issues. Mr. Reynolds also has that right. We should respect diversity of opinion, of culture, and politics alike.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
