iUrban Teen, in partnership with Vancouver Public Schools, Washington State University Vancouver and Clark College, recently announced a two-year Future Teachers Pathway Fellowship.
Fellows will work at an elementary school in Vancouver Public Schools for a total of 60 hours, providing mentoring to students. Fellows will also receive training focused on professional competency, according to a press release. Upon completion, fellows will receive a $1,000 stipend.
“Future Teachers Pathway Fellowship is a flagship program designed to broaden and enrich the diversity of voices and life experiences represented in K-12 educational settings,” Deena Pierott, founder of iUrban Teen, said in the release.
Eligible participants must have graduated high school within the past five years. Undocumented students are welcome to apply with a valid Washington or Oregon state ID, according to the release.
