A 10-year-old boy is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash during an event Saturday at Washougal Motocross Park.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the boy lost control of his motorcycle and was then inadvertently struck by two other riders.

A Life Flight helicopter transported the boy to an area hospital, where he is in critical condition.

The boy was participating in the 2023 Classic 7 MX Series, which features races for riders in numerous age classifications — from as young as 4 to adult pro-am and masters events.

Saturday’s event was the fifth of seven sanctioned races in the series held at the Washougal Motocross Park, a track on Northeast Borin Road northeast of Washougal.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office patrol and the traffic unit are investigating.
