Clark County COVID-19 case, hospitalization rates rise

No new deaths reported this week in latest data from Public Health

Clark County’s COVID-19 case rate and hospital admission rate both rose this week in the latest data from Clark County Public Health. No new deaths were reported.

Public Health reported 88 new cases Thursday, for a total of 114,205 case to date and a seven-day rate of 13.8 per 100,000 people, up from 12.2 the week before. Deaths held steady at 1,056 to date.

New hospitalizations also rose, with a seven day rate of 1.8 new admissions per 100,000 this week, up from 1.2 the previous week, according to Public Health, which reported that 45 people were in a hospital with or suspected of having COVID-19.

Those patients accounted for 10.5 percent of all hospital beds and 8 percent of all ICU beds, according to Public Health data.
